Addison Update

Addison had her first official hair cut this past Saturday, courtesy of her Aunt Julie, the cosmetologist in Ninety Six, SC. Yes folks, you read it correctly...the town is called Ninety Six, SC and it's lovely. If you're ever there, be sure to stop by Theresa's Place in town and let Julie Gardner give you a haircut. And if you're hungry, stop by Addison's Papa's restaurant, Las Cascadas for some great Mexican (and American) food. And you can also stop and see Addison's Pippy and cousin Bry-Bry at Fortner Home Center for hardware, home and garden supplies, etc. Anyway, enough family business commercials...back to the hair cut...  :)

Addison's hair is getting so long and we are letting her bangs grow out. We decided to trim it up a little so it would look better. Addison was extremely sleepy during the hair cut because she refuses to nap except at school (her sleeping habits could take up another blog post, so I won't dwell on it here). So, Aunt Julie fixed her up with an Elmo DVD to watch while she got her hair cut and that certainly did the trick. She sat very still with her eyes fixed on Elmo. Here's some pics of the big event.

  Last night, after she had been to the ball field to watch me and Daddy play softball, I asked if she had fun watching us play and she looked at me and said "I so pwoud of you, Mama!" and I just melted!

Addison has also found a new interest in potty training, now that some of the kids in her class are going to the potty. Tonight, she has successfully gone to the potty on her own four times!! Yay! Our little girl is growing up so fast! Here's a picture of her in the bathtub with bubbles on her head.
