Remembering Great-Grandma...

This blog is dedicated to Addison's great-grandma, Georgia Bell Ozmint Alexander. She is one of the many wonderful women that have influenced my life and she received her heavenly healing on Mother's Day.

She taught me to find good in everyone, to encourage everyone you meet because you never know what they are going through, and to tell those you love that you love them. She knew what was most important in life and those are the things she focused on: Faith, Family, and Friends. I've always loved these songs by Point of Grace, so I am playing them here because they exemplify the way she lived her life.

She loved life and found joy in everything. She loved her great-granddaughter tremendously and I want Addison to know what a beautiful woman she was. She has truly blessed our lives.

Addison was 3 days old when she first met Great-Grandma

Here is Addison visiting Great-Grandma during her rehab stay at the nursing home last year. She loved to sit with Great-Grandma and watch the birds and the fish.

This one is my favorite of Addison singing Great-Grandma to sleep

We will miss you, Grandma, but we are glad that your suffering is over and that you are with your life's loves, Papa Marshall and Jesus. You've left us with many wonderful memories that we will share with your great-grandchildren. See you again someday...

  2. Amanda,
I was unaware that your sweet grandma had passed away. This blog was beautiful. I feel blessed to have known all four of your "grands"...they are some special people to me. I am so glad that our relationships do not end here! When I was in college and doing summer missions...your grandma always wrote to me...Her letters were some of my favorites. She had a wonderful ability with the pen! My thoughts are with your family during this time of missing Georgia. Much Love, Stacy
